This touching and special book is about a girl named Ruby who has a close relationship with her wacky grandmother. They stole chickens together and treated them as pets!
When Ruby's grandmother leaves their hometown in Halleluia, Mississippi to see a new grandchild, Ruby has to learn to survive on her own and keep in touch by writing letters. This book was a hysterical and fun book to read.
